So - for a grand, what in the hell does this do that my $80 CinemaTube doesn't do? I have complete access to all my music on my PC (over 3TB). Or is this just an expensive toy for the specs?
It delivers true sound. If you can't hear it, then stick with your Cinematube.
i accidentally clicked like this when i went to click discuss....epic fail...
I thought this unit was discontinued. It used to sell for $2,000 a couple of years ago and yes I bought one. It sounds like you cannot believe and it is compatible with Linux, Mac OS, and FLAC, Apple Lossles, etc. If you have trained ears and you're taking your music seriously listening to Classical music and Jazz, you might enjoy adding this to you wireless system. Your CDs will sound like LPs with the CD dynamic range. At this price it is a steal but you ought to use it with high end gear to hear the difference in sound.
This is the new model (SE). It's just missing the knob on the front. The guts are the same.
