How much better would this be than my $250 HP N40L and $100 modded Xonar STX with Burr Brown(Ti) DAC. Oh wait, it wouldn't be better lol. Most real world AK4396 only hit 116-117dB SNR, whereas the PCM 1792A in the Xonar typically measures about 124dB SNR.
If thing was about $400-$500 it would be about right, but at a grand I'd rather have an 8TB media server with better sound card, oh wait, that's what I did.
