Logitech has the dented box but new Logitech V470 Bluetooth Notebook Mouse for $28 - $4 off with coupon code logi_31210 [Exp 3/18] + $6 shipping = $30 shipped. It's colored blue because it uses Bluetooth to connect to your computer, no RF dongle required. A battery life indicator eliminates surprises. [Review]

Can the blue be dented off?

i bought this last time around (different coupon, but same discount, s/h, and total price).

    * i'm still getting use to its weight (holding two AA batteries) compared to all my other corded mice (both laptop & desktop sized).
    * the on-screen pointer lags/stutters/jumps when you move the mouse after it's sat still for a while, presumably a delay required for the mouse to leave an automatic low-power/sleep state. the pointer jumps to the correct position based on how far you moved the mouse, so the mouse must keep the laser awake (accurately tracking the mouse movement), but puts the rf transmitter to sleep (causing the pointer to jump once it wakes up and transmits).
    * i like the on/off switch as my netbook is not my primary computer and the mouse goes unused for days at a time (where even a low-power stand-by/sleep state is wasteful when it's known the mouse won't be used).
    * it tracks perfectly on a dull metal surface that regular optical mice have trouble with.
    * it comes with a nylon bag with a pull-string opening to store the mouse in for travel.

it's supposedly "dented box", but the packaging i received had no damage whatsoever, like the webcam i just received. last year i did buy a "dented box" logitech speaker system that came in a box with a crushed corner, so bad that the box couldn't sit up, but the contents were fine. so "dented box" seems to be the worse-case scenario, but either way the contents are fine.

overall, i like the mouse and it's a good deal on a bluetooth laser mouse.

Look on eBay for a Logitech V270. New in the box can still be found.

btc909: that appears to be optical, not laser (sometimes needed), and appears to not have a tilt-wheel (sometimes wanted).
