This is not a very good device, unfortunately.
Battery life SUCKS. A set of alkaline AA batteries only lasts 3 to 4 months if you don't turn it off when not in use (which I always forget to do!)
Otherwise, I find it very pleasant to use.
^ 3 to 4 months doesn't seem bad to me, have you tried using Eneloops?
