The webpage did say it's a "dented box", but otherwise sounds like a good deal.

      These are analog.
Try to stick with digital inputs for your speakers coming from your computer...you will thank me.
I have some old Cambridge Soundworks digital speakers from 10 years ago that blow anything analog out the window.

I've had these for 3 years, best computer speakers ever. Next to no distortion at extremely high volumes, and the sub is very powerful.

yeah digital speakers are teh best. once you eliminate all the analogue and go with straight electrical 1's and 0's rocking your synapses, you'll never go back.

these speakers rock. and they're 2.1, so the mini plug handles the signal just fine.

Count me unconvinced about "digital" speakers. Audio is analog, speakers are, by definition, analog, so the only value I can see of having a "digital" interface is that the D-to-A transition happens on the speaker card (usually in the woofer box) rather than on the audio card in the PC. If you have a crappy audio card, then you get background noise in the audio; otherwise, I don't see much difference.

BTW I work in the video documentary field and have done a lot of mixing projects involving 4-channel surround sound.

I will pass, I can't hear mid-range cycles anymore anyway. That constant ringing in my ears is also driving me crazy.
