All depends on what type of music you listen to and how trained (experienced) your "ears" are. I still would say these speakers are worth the asking price. I am using them on my computer and have had no problems with them. Omnidirectional and perhaps somewhat deficient in mid-range and high frequency reproduction of sound but nevertheless worth the asking price.
I have a set of these connected to my LCD tv for that extra oomph when playing the Wii and PS3. They do a respectable job and provide more than ample sound for casual gaming and tv watching. For this price, go for it! Two thumbs up.
