CR rates this as best. Batteries typically last over a year at my house. Setup for geeks only, but that's you, right?

I have no experience with this particular thermostat, but this type usually has electromechanical relays that make an audible and sometimes very loud "click" when they are activated. This has been a problem for us with Honeywell units. Reviewers of Lux products on Amazon have noted this, too.
