I used to be a MAC user for a while, until a while back I realised IBM based laptops were better speed wise and program compatabilities.
I made a switch and never will head back to MAC.
Not that MAC is bad, they are awesome but not for my needs.
They are pricy and lag behind in speed vs. IBM laptops.
I wish MAC lower their prices to compete with other laptops.
I guess they feel as long as they have their loyal MAC fans and IPOD fans they will survive.
There are 3 companies that are greedy and rip America off

      AOL
(FOR YEARS RIPPED INNOCENT INTERNET SURFERS WITH HIGH PRICES)
      APPLE
      (EXPENSIVE STUFF, VERY GREEDY)
      BEST BUY aka WORSTBUY
      (EXPENSIVE STUFF, VERY GREEDY)

Who can resist that cool apple logo? That alone is worth 200% premium over PCs. oh, and "it's free from viruses and never crashes." yeah.

#3... you do realize that IBM laptops are overpriced too? Actually there are no IBM laptops, they're Lenovo. Better to go with Dell if you're a cheapo and want something that's going to die in a couple years.

Also, just because something is expensive doesn't mean it isn't worth it. I've had my macbook for 3 years and it is still going strong, can't really say the same for most of my other intel/amd based computer purchases.

For many professionals, there is a reason why Apple is the choice.

great price, this is the "unibody" not the current 13.3 pro, therefore no illuminated keyboard.

A lot of people like to compare Apple's computers to other manufacturer's low end crap. This is simply an unfair comparison. Even dell has product lines that are meant to appeal to a higher end market, and when you compare Apple's laptops to those, and take into consideration the build quality, features, and so on, Apple comes out looking pretty damn good.

And, FYI, it's not "MAC," with all caps, it's "Mac," as it isn't an acronym. Whenever people capitalize MAC, it's a good indication that they don't know much about Macs in general and are just trolling (interestingly, it's usually the people who supposedly "switched back to pc" who capitalize Mac).
