To be honest you will never hit that 8GB mark anyway with most things you do.

#4: sure, people don't need more than 4-6GB of RAM for MOST things. But, what if you want to edit RAW photos, or videos? With every other laptop out there, you'll just say, "Oh, well, I gotta plunk down $50 to upgrade my RAM". With this laptop you say, "Oh, well, I gotta plunk down $2500 for a new laptop".
