Wow - I just ordered it earlier in the evening for 179 - they must have bumped the price. Still a good deal for a really nice unit.

Wasn't Ted Magellan the 16th century explorer that got lost and was eaten by his crew in a mutiny?

I loved my 4040 until I tried to get out of downtown Chicago to Iowa via I90. It kept routing me south to I80 rather than West on I88 tollway to western Illinois where you meet up with I80 again. Had to ignore it until way after Naperville before it routed me on I88. Very frustrating...

Get the Mio c230 from Amazon for $139 and then hack it to perform better than most of the high end GPS units -- http://computerbits.wordpress.com/2008/03/03/how-to-unlock-mio-c230-release-4-the-easiest-unlock-ever/
