I disagree. The basic Garmin models are hardly worth your money compared to other competing brands. You're better off with either TomTom or Magellan at this price range.

I got this from Vanns for $130 a few month ago. So far, I can't finad any problems with it. Picks up signals fast, no funky directions, good interface. I really like it. I don't know what else you'd want from a $130 GPS. Recommend.
