Is this device good? not so much? shitty? Someone has it already?
I have the 1412 and like it. Beware that the maps are getting old and you will have to pay Magellan for updated maps when they are released. AFAIK, and I have looked, you cannot unlock the 1000 series to use other maps and software. If you want a cheap GPS, 6th Ave. electronics has the MIO 320 for less than $100 and MIO's are easily hacked.
Costco has the 1412 unit for 119, about $10 more but with TTS.
