How is the software/interface Solow? Does it appear that Magellan has scrubbed the data properly so you have correct/clean addresses/etc.?

I usually buy Garmin since they have good data scrubbing and interface, but my very first handheld GPS was a Magellan and I wouldn't be against owning another if the price is right and things work as good as Garmin.

#2) I dumped my gamin nuvi for this. It searches MUCH faster and the location accuracy is spot on. It is a much more simplified touch screen compared to the nuvi. Location input is almost instantaneous. I haven't once yet had to enter the full address, it just narrows down as you type. At any time you can press a gas can/food button and it will point you to the closest one. Also the "above" roadway signs appear on the screen as you approach a busy interstate. Also a big help.

I guess they keep raising screen size and prices until people realize its basically same as a 2 in and they don't use it that much to begin with
