      I agree with #1, contrast ratio is very low, you might as well get a vizio which is probably a better product.

      Magnavox is low end Philips if there is such a thing since both seem low end to me and I wouldn't buy either..

      There plasmas actually have a pretty nice pictures but I have seen some of their LCDs and they aren't all that impressive. Actually for TV watching you have to spend a lot to get an LCD image that rivals plasma in my book.
