We got my dad a 50" phillips refurb plasma for xmas $950. Awesome picture, as good as any I've seen at BB with a standard DVD. lots of features, 2 HDMI seems like decent product to me. Why do you think they are bad #1.

I am an immigrant and come from a family of immigrants. I remember when we first came to America, we really wanted to get a new color TV because we did not have one in our home country, and the one we had in America was a used second hand black and white. So we saved our money, and after a year we had enough to buy a color TV, and we decided to get a Magnavox. The TV was fine because it served its purpose of displaying images in color, which was our primary concern. But soon the TV began to fall apart (literally). First the keys on the remote control, so since we could not afford a new remote, we started using the keys on the TV, and soon they fell out too. We were really disappointed because we could not change channels easily and my father could not watch his favorite TV program, Married With Children, which aired Sundays on Fox. I remember because Al Bundy was a hero to my father, and also he liked Peggy Bundy's big boobs and could not figure out why Al hated having sex with her. So since the keys had fallen off the TV, we had to use a pen to press the button deep inside the front panel.

Ever since then, I have made a promise to sooner staple my balls to a stack of paper than to deal with a shitty Magnavox product.
