Walmart has the Magnavox MDR533H/F7 320GB DVR & DVD Recorder (2012) for $208 with free in-store pickup or ship to home for $4. Features 320GB HDD, DVR functions, DVD recorder, HDMI, built-in ATSC/NTSC tuner, and includes remote. Here is AVSforum's thread on this last generation DVR.
Sorry guys, but you're clueless. #1, it only records in SD (standard definition).....HD size is plenty. It also doesn't record 5.1 audio. But, even though it is a Magnavox (aka Philips), it is the only non-fee based HDD recorder out there with an internal digital tuner. I've had 2 of the older units for a couple of years and have to say they are great. Read the first post that Ben gave a link to, to learn what you CAN do with this unit. Here is a comparison between this and other DVRs: http://www.avsforum.com/t/940657/magnavox-537-535-533-515-513-2160a-2160-2080-philips-3576-3575/6870#post_17335390
320GB in the days of HD-recordings-hungry-for-disk-space just seems wrong. Not to mention there is no guide or schedule for recording programs.
They lost me at "Magnavox"
