Why buy this Malwarebytes version for $12.50 when you can download the free version....what's the difference?

#4, active protection. Free version removes malware after it's infected your machine. Registered version blocks it from installing itself in the first place.
I but several copies when it's on sale for $10, and than just install it on friends/family computers as needed. Sames me time in the long run... which equals money Wink

The free version fixes problems after your PC is infected the pay version does that and also has real time monitoring to prevent the installation of the malware in the first place.

    The usual p0rn...lol

I used to surf indiscriminately with MS Steadystate/WDP installed..pure bliss, like doing it without protection, but without any worries whatsoever.

#9, just say no to Facebook. It's designed to attract dorks and a playground for cheap advertisement...

hurl3.0, I browse to the other side of the Internet where no man has gone before. It's a dark place full of unspeakable horrors and of course more malware than one can shake a stick at.

The greatest source of malware that I ever saw was back in the days of anon FTP and then the preceding fake warez groups, followed by the insecurity of IE through version 6. These days mostly what you see is a popup that you need to install some kind of software to play a video on a website, which any sane person would say no to.

In other words buy this to protect you so you can watch boobies without getting infected. JediKnight should buy it because he completely messed up that simple concept and should wear all the protection he can, including a helmet and face mask, while browsing.

If you prevent it just blocks bad things from installing. If you are cheap, you get infected, your computer runs like crap, then you clean it and attempt to remove things hopping you didn't get something extremely malicious that stole all your data, did keystroke logging, or caused HD damage that is going to end in blue screen of death.
