To me- a quick release mechanism is a must. I don't have time and patient to screw on/off each time It's way more convenient to have a tripod have quick release function. Sure you can buy add-ons for the quick release function but it cost extra $$- that defeat the purpose of a deal.. This tripod doesn't come with quick release function - that's biggest drawback of this deal. I will pass...
