No it doesn't. This is the same as the one from Patriot and also Hornettek. What's nice is that Patriot and this one comes with the HDMI cable. I had bought the Hornettek before realizing the other two came with the HDMI cable. I bought a 2.5" 500GB hard drive and it works well.
