What do you plan to do with the laptop? surf the web? play warcraft? burn copies of friends CD's? These choices play a big part in which laptop best fits what you plan to do with it.

      To answer the question above:

Surf the web, use Microsoft office products for work (excel, word, visio), Burn copies of friends cd's, use iTunes for my old 2gen Ipod Nano, and maybe play some dvd's while traveling for work. Basically I want something that is going to last for a while and not break down. It doesn't have to be the top of the line computer, but I want something that isn't going to break the bank, but yet is still reliable and last for a couple of years.

      Thanks!

honestly the 449 laptop would be fine for that. I would go with a 6 cell battery though to improve the battery life. If you don't already have a CD/DVD copy of MSF Office, then you can add it here, it's usually cheaper than if you buy it on your own. Since you have the nano, I doubt you have gigs of music, so the 250 GB hard drive is probably fine. If I'm wrong there, you can always increase the HD size. 4GB of ram is pretty much the standard now for Vista, although I'm not too familiar with all the different versions so someone else may want to chime in there.

449 should be fine as long as it's not vista home with all these junk programs.
