    If you want to use this with your mac, look for the freeware driver package "macam". Even with that, it's still a bitch to get a non-Apple camera working with a Mac. Which is lame.

    I think logitech is the way to go. MS has never been great with hardware

    This is a good deal. Microsoft is a better brand than Creative which is what I have. Creative webcam sucks...

    hows the top of the line webcam now a days? The last one I had was about 6 years ago when it was grainy at 320 resolution. This doesn't seem bad though.

    I have this LifeCam. It has decent quality. Its not the best but its good for the price. If you're planning more than just using for chatting with a friend, then I would recommend another cam. If you mostly just use this for IM's then get this Cam.

    This is a great deal. I bought mine from newegg 3 months ago for 35 bucks. Works great, it has auto-face detection so it follows your face when talking. Autofocus works well.
