YesBuy.net has the Microsoft B2J-00001 1000dpi 4 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB Wired Optical Notebook Mouse 3000 for $13 + $0 shipping = $13 shipped. It is symmetrical, so lefties can use it as well. [BizRate]

A functional disposable mouse at a reasonable price.

A bit too small and light for comfortable use. Also, the blue magnify button is only on one side so lefties, it's not that useful.

not a good mouse & not worth a hamilton & change ~ not simply because its a wired mouse (which has its good point [battery free operation]) but its a optical mouse. why? when you can go w/the faster response, the laser mouse option.

You can't expect a name-brand laser mouse for $13. Laser wins the performance battle but expect to pay $25 or more for a quality product unless there's a rebate. Also some red LED mice like Logitech's MX series are so close in real-world performance that you'd have to be a gamer or grapic designer to appreciate the difference.

It's not totally symmetrical though, 4th button is on the left side where a leftie might often want to rest one of their fingers which means it could be used but shouldn't be under the natural resting point of a finger for best vertical-use ergonomics.

I suppose I can't complain much about a $13 mouse but why did they make the buttons blue? That just makes it look more like a cheap generic with no reason for it.
