Not so good #1, 1000DPI optical engines are often no better and sometimes worse than 800DPI, except for the laser ones.

$13 for an optical mouse is a fair, though not so great price. May not be worth the time to hunt for an extra 2 bucks off but for such a primary input device it may be worth spending a bit more for the laser feature.

laser are not always better than optical. My Logitech G5 mouse is nowhere as accurate as my Logitech MX518.

Anyway I have this mouse at work, its decent.

Any comments on the tilt wheel? I've not seen many other mice using this.

You mean on paper, in real world laptop use, even the lowest end logitech laser mouse beats their best (non-laser) optical.

i just received this mouse and realized how tiny it is. i have fairly big hands and this is very small for me to use, it will hold up for daily use but i think i might go for another mouse.
