Walmart has the Microsoft SideWinder X6 Black Keyboard for $40 + $1 shipping = $41 shipped. It has a detachable number pad to reduce the keyboard's footprint. Keyboard keys are red, and key pad and Macro keys are amber in Game mode. Lighting dial adjusts the brightness of the keyboard and key pad. [Compare]

I like this keyboard - $41 is pretty good - i bought mine refurb'ed for $38 shipped. I just bought another new for $45 shipped w/ no tax for my wife at work.

It is a low profile keyboard - so the keys are like a laptop's keys.

I am a programmer and use the keyboard all day - I have noticed a difference in how less tired my wrists get (insert joke here) compared to a normal keyboard.

One last note - i had the common issue on the refurbished one where keys would randomly not respond. To fix, i had to disassemble and adjust the membrane - works great now.

I still use a fully programmable Gateway2000 Anykey from 1991. They don't make keyboards like they used too.

The optional keypad is great for those wanting a more ergo-friendly environment where the mouse is closer to your body's center.

The adjustable backlit is very nice as well.
