This Windows 7 version is an upgrade. The installer on this Home Premium version checks for a previous version of Windows. I assume XP or Vista..

I got a free ultimate version in my Windows 7 party pack, a $30 premium version using my daughter's edu address, and a free premium upgrade for the pc I just bought my wife last month. 3 copies and I spent $30!
