where's ALL the HATERS !?!? me I like it , I have no problem with metro I find it intuitive if you HATE METRO can always run in a 7 splash screen all the people that post they hate 8 posted the hated 7 and posted they hated vista I guess everyone should get a mac
Pretty sure you are wrong. Vista sucked, Win 7 is much better (and I said as much when it came out), but the jury is out on 8 for me. While I have used Metro on a phone and did not like it, not sure about the underlying OS on a pc.
If I had a touchscreen monitor that was closer to the front of my desk - I'd probably like Win 8 a bit more. I seem to remember that trying to play youtube as a window while doing something else wasnt possibly at the time. *I used BETA
Meh - Windows 8 doesnt wow me... I dont hate it, I just dont have the environment to enjoy it
Here's the thing - They needed to make some changes to the OS so they could repackage it as a new version and instead of desirable changes we get stuck with this instead.
They're going to make it even more mobile oriented (screwed up) with Win9 because they want a consistent user interface across their mobile and desktop when that will never be best because the screen area and input method is different.
They are thinking they want customer familiarity, they don't want people to have to learn a second interface so what they will do is force their majority market, desktop users, to learn a new interface since they don't have a monopoly to pull it off in the phone market.
Makes perfect sense, right? This is yet another reason why monopolies are bad for customers.

If I had a touchscreen monitor at the front of my desk I'd still use a mouse since it's faster and less effort, plus it doesn't seem too useful to build bulging shoulder muscles you don't like to use because your shoulder joint aches from the repetitive stress of holding your arm out to use a touchscreen desktop monitor.

#1 was right. If you don't agree with him on finding it intuitive and that Metro is neato, you're an obvious HATER. You probably HATE Negroes too...

You never complained about your shoulder bulging when you were doing that thing you didn't want your M*om to see you doing. And you did that a lot...
