Microsoft says that some users reported a 6month or more period of use before the battery dies.
So dont blame Microsoft if you mouse battery died sooner. Find the user who made that comment.

Sorry, I tried. Anyway, if you go to Amazon and search for "Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000" they have the same rebate that will print formatted nicely on 1 page.
I bought this back in August - I like it, the shape is very similar to the old intellimouse explorer although the side button aren't as conveniently mounted but they're not too bad. I'm not a gamer though.
