The long battery life comes at the expense of very short range, like 2 feet.

Not a good deal considering it is a used product.

IMO, the mouse buttons feel too stiff. it doesn't click very smoothly. the laser tracking is decent, but like others said, the range is not very good.

I hate my current wireless mouse. I pretty much have to have the transmitter on the desk. I wonder if this one is better.

anybody know if the buttons click loudly or if they're relatively quiet? i hate it when cheap mouses click so damn loud.

echo the not a good deal vote. wouldn't be surprise prices will be mark down (for a new one at that!) as the holidays fast approaching. the "laser" mouse (as oppose to optical) is remarkably a faster response time! (better? not so sure) faster ~ yes~! the battery life? ~ i haven't noticed it to be bothered or annoyed. but sometime the sensor/distance between the mouse & wireless base-unit gets temperamental & goes on random strike & i'd have to reset the communication signal again. other than that, definitely a necessity.

Great mouse for a laptop. I have had one for 3 years, use it all day every day and have had to replace the battery only a few times. Fits nicely in your pocket when headed to a meeting. But... make sure and bring a mouse pad if the conference table has a glass top - it won't work on glass.
