This is a great product.
I have both the bluetooth msft mice and these msft RF models.
The RF model just works; no intellimouse drivers to install like the bluetooth version. It also works fast right after you plug it in; just like the old-style mice. However, if your USB port is on the left side of the laptop, and you're right-handed, sometimes the RF signal doesn't register your whole swooping mouse movement.
