I've never tried using a Zune before but I've always wondered if they were any good. Anyone own a Zune that can give me some feedback?

I really would like to get this but have one issue if anyone has the answer. I have an ipod dock built into my car and would likt to use that. Is their any type of converter cable that would let me use the Zune with an Ipod cable? Appreciate any info.

Aww Dell.. too late. They killed this same deal last week just as I was about to buy it. So I went to the darkside and I got my first Apple product. iPod Touch is ridiculously awesome... I am ashamed of myself

#6, Never heard of a zune-to-ipod converter cable.

I've had a Zune 80gig for almost a year and I'm really happy with it. All the bad stories you heard about Zune 1+ years ago were true, but they should be ignored since MS has made incredible progress on the user experience with 3 software updates. Glass screen is really nice. Song rating system is dumb (basically thumbs up/down), but I couldn't justify for paying so much more $$ to get an ipod. Comes with games now, too, including Texas Hold Em.

#3 I owned a Cowon iAudio x5 which was basically an external hdd that played music and video; it used drag and drop function instead of any crap software like itunes. After it died I wanted to replace it with the next gen cowon but my aunt wanted to buy me a player at bestbuy which doesn't sell anything but ipods&zunes. So between the ipod classic and zune 80, I chose Zune and I like it a lot. I've never been a fan of the ipod because it lacks built in features, itunes (resource hog) and the nuances of being limited in sharing music. The Zune has a bigger screen, built in radio, the interface is smooth and easy to use and wireless sync (I can transfer song from zune to zune/cpu without a cable/dock). The zune software is surprisingly good, it doesn't run itself in the background, looks smooth, and is easy to use. I had some initial difficulties getting things to sync the way I wanted but everything was really easy to figure out and now it works perfectly. I recommend Zune over its competitor (ipod classic).

#6 I think that the ipod and zune docks do not have a converter due to proprietary issues, so I think you're out of luck. If only cars put in an audio in, then everyone would be happy. An aftermarket deck would have that option, but that's just more money =(

the zune has wifi which you can access by:
    1. playing games with other people (ie checkers, texas hold em)
    2. sending music to other people
    3. wirelessly synching with your network (only when connected to your network)
    4. when listening to FM radio (another feature on the zune) you can click flag whatever song youre listening to and download it for later, or download it if you are already a part of a wifi network

    additional features include
    1. fm radio
    2. zune pass, for approx 15 dollars a month, you can download (but not keep) all the songs you want. additionally you can keep 10 of those songs every month.
    3. also plays videos, music (duh), podcasts access through their software, and pictures,
    4. has a social feature that allows you to see what people are listening to around you
    5. has an auto playlist feature that will put songs taht are similar in a playlist for you
    6. will keep track of what you listen to, of waht your friends listen to and make recomendations based upon that

Zune just won in a side-by-side "prizefight" with the 120 GB iPod classic on cnet.com. I love my iPod but if I was in the market I would seriously consider one of these babies!

Zune pass allows unlimited downloads and they give you 10 MP3s a month to keep, the rest you can only play on your Zune or computer. For 15 quid this deal is pretty awesome. I have downloaded 350 songs in the last 3 days... and it is actually legal. Apple has to do something about this or it is going to lose allot of business.

In general it is a great product and a lot cheaper than iPOD touch. Only problem is sometime it hang w/o obvious reason. A restart will solve the problem. Hey, its a Microsoft production, right ?

WTF 'coupon code doesnt' work, Didn't work 2 weeks ago either
here is the message I get at checkout.

The coupon you have entered has been saved for this shopping session but NOT applied to your cart because the items in your cart do not meet the coupon criteria or other discounts are already in effect with which the coupon cannot be combined. Please review the coupon details for more information.
