Just pay the extra money and buy the zune 2. it is much much better and its not like a brick. $250 for an 80gb is totally worth it.

My understanding is anything you share wirelessly is still wrapped in their stupid DRM and play limited. It's a brilliant way to take an awesome feature, give a handjob to the RIAA, and completely ruin it, all at the same time.

The Zune 80 pwns. I have a 30, and it's good enough for my needs.. let me just say that the new software and the new updates (2.2 firmware) = AWESOME!!!!

i bought it from buy.com for 94, waiting for it in the mail, yet now i would want the g2 with 80 gigs, mainly for storage and much more attractive than this box..
but 30 g's for 90-100, still great

#9 the rumor is that the refurbish is actually new.... Microsoft wants to get rid of their unsold inventory leave room for the Zune2-80G.

BTW, I brought 2 Zune from Woots yesterday (one black and one white) and got a traveler pack for free. I am counting on getting a new zune for the price of the refurb !

#9 - Woot does indeed charge tax to Texas residents. For Texas folks who are not aware of it, they have a coupon code ("TAXSUCKS", I believe) that will give Texas residents a $5 discount (=cost of shipping) to help offset the tax.

I did buy 4 of the refurbs. One for me (which I like very much), and 3 for family members for Xmas. Since mine is nice, I'll give them to my family members who have been nice to me. If it stunk, it'd go to the other ones. (Yes, that is petty, but isn't that what family is for?)

Does anyone ever see $90 deals for the Zune in a color other than brown? Amazon's non brown ones are more expensive.
