I bought the brown one a few weeks ago on Woot and another yesterday for my GF. These are awesome, I plan to buy a few more also for xmas gifts! I didn't think I'd like the brown (it was the only color Woot had), but after having it for a while, it's grown on me. It's not as bad as you might think.

The refurb'd models have "Refurbished" stamped on the back, so new or not, they'll still be labeled as such.

You get docking station, remote, hook up to you home audio system and tv and now you will never pop out a cd again.

I did two at Woot yesterday too... hopefully I won't HAVE to upgrade the firmware at first... there are reg hacks to make the drive show up in explorer and to transcode divx files that I would like to take advantage of.

The wi-fi works fine. All my stuff is DRM-free and wirelessly syncs perfectly fine.

does june support any other language?

finally non-refurb zune at refurb price. i just got 3 from woot.. I should've waited 3 days... get this, and install the new fw, and you are good to go.

Is MicroSoft losing money on each unit selling it at this price, which is >65% discount from the original pricing.

how much different between the Gen1 & Gen2 for the battery time?

Almost pulled the trigger for 2 on woot yesterday but instead bought an ipod + nike sport kit with 20% off and 8% fatbacon cash back. So for 8 gb nano, nike + sport kit + 100 dollar nike credit and 30$ itune workout -- all for about 250 dollars.

I think it is the fact that I am locked in with all the ipod accessories that I don't get a zune.

I'd rather get this than a ghey Ipod.

I saw the brown zune in person and didn't like (green highlights). White is my favorite (which I have), the black one is nice with the double-shot effect. The device is nice to use and the screen is beautiful. Yes, I have refurb I bought for a friend as well. . .they do say refurb right on the box. . .

I would pay a little extra to have white/black, not this deal. Also, there are at least two BF deals that are selling zune for $100 or less. . .

#30, it supports Spanish and French out of the box, and on the old firmware there were hacks to support other languages. The new firmware (released today) makes this a fantastic product, well worth it.

Ordered mine on back order from buy.com 5 weeks ago and got it today. There are tricks to get around the wireless DRM, nothing too great though.
