Assclown, I'm comparing it generally to deals that were around at Black Friday and generally before or just after (like the one deal I got at Amazon was after Black Friday). The main point is that while these deals like today's or similar deals (give or take a few bucks like the one you originally posted) are still out there, they're not as readily available at those prices like they were weeks. They end up "currently unavailable" within hours, which is why I said they've not been around for weeks you burp rodeo cowboy.

Zunes are the size of a brick compared to iPods. I like my Sansa much better.

Lol @ BLARDSLKRDSLRKAR If you think companies are gonna have huge sales where everyone can buy one, and they lose profit on each one, you're dumb. This is a site for deals, it's for people who are able to jump on it. Just because they are "unavailable" within hours doesn't mean they didn't happen. You're proving yourself to be stupid and you know it. At least I don't have to resort to calling people names to defend myself when wrong.

Then Amazon.com and Buy.com are dumb, kinda like you, since they had huge sales on the Zune where just about everyone could buy since the deals ran for weeks (plural, remember what that means?).

Bought one of these off of Woot about three months ago and it has been great. I upgraded to the new Toshiba MK1011GAH 100g hd a couple of weeks ago and it was a worthwhile upgrade. It was a very easy swap. Directions are here:

      http://www.rapidrepair.com/guides/100gb_zune_upgrade/100gbzuneinstallguide.htm

Forget about their price on the hd. If you are going to give this a shot check flea bay and you can get a better deal on the hd.

I got two of these brown 30 gig baby's 2-3 weeks ago from buy.com with free ship <$100. My daughter loves her new "Ipod equivalent" at a fraction of the price. She put a cheap pink cover over the brown and she's crazy about it. I picked up one for myself and I like the easy simplistic navigational interface. Since they have flash based Zune's now I'd prefer the solid state over my hard drive Zune but I haven't seen any good deals on the flash memory Zune's yet.

#23 - they are pretty darn close to the same size. And the Zune screen is bigger. And the wireless thing is pretty sweet.

I bought the Belkin battery pack and used my Zune to watch roughly 7 hours of video over the course of 3 days, and the battery indicator is just now starting to budge.

Few weeks back compusa (going bye bye) advertised brown zune @ $99.99. Sold out so ran over to sears and snatched two white ones (priced @ $199.99 each) with price match + 10% difference. Two white Zunes for $96 each inc tax!!! Sears OOS on brown cahier didnt care though. Works great also recommend Daniusoft DVD to Zune video converter for WMV video (free to download and try). Appzoo had Daniusoft suite for $17.50 12/27/07. Daniusoft now $22.50 still good http://appzoo.com/Product.aspx?P=14589-16.

#35, how does that work? Did you just print out the price from Compusa's site or what?

      C'mon kids, quit fighting.....

Woot.com had multiple Zune deals for prices ranging from $155 (shipped) in August down to $90 (shipped) in mid-November. Many of their deals were for refurbished Zunes. I bought one for myself at the $155 price, then when prices dropped below $100 I got a few for Xmas presents (I kinda blew my Xmas budget this year).

Buy.com had a long-running deal where you could get pre-order brown Zune (new) for $100. That deal started in October(?), and ended in early December when they sold out. Those Zunes were shipped around the 2nd week of December. Since that time, Buy.com has offered the brown Zune at $110 in mid-December, but that was it (unless I missed seeing another deal).
