Picked up one of these last week. Overall I'm pretty impressed. Its a little big but for the price its hard to beat. I'm very excited about the wifi sync capability coming soon. It'll be pretty cool if I can leave it in my car and have it sync when I drive in the garage.

The sync capability with Vista Media Center may push me to finally downgrade to Vista....

Downgrade? Vista is amazing!... the only catch is you need a beefy system and the Ultimate version. Running a 3.6 p4 with 2gb ram and a dx10 video card means my Vista runs twice as fast as the same machine with XP.

4gb of ram might actually slow your system down if you don't utilize it.

I plan on building a new system in the next year or so.. Core 2 Extreme (quad core), DDR3 ram (2gb) and two top-of-the-line cards in SLI

But a new -- not refurb -- one at buy.com for $100 shipped is a better deal, even if it only comes in m0f0 sh*t brown.

Yeah, and my girlfriend works for the 99cent store. She can get me a 128 CORE processor from Intel right now. They have it right now, they just don't want to show it to dumbass people from bestbuy yet.

If a process dumps core .. would it be any different on a 64 core machine vs. a 128 core machine? Like big dump vs. smaller (but more) dumps?

I also heard that Dollar Store was running a BOGO on this ..

I come for the intelligent discussion relating to the deal, but I stay for the users' scientific product analysis.
