I just posted this in the discuss below.

The deal with these are that they are not BROWN. You can choose White or Black. I have Brown(Woot) Zune refurbed. Except for the Refurbished sticker on the box and Zune, it looks NEW. Plus you can get Zune 2G software on these 30GB Zunes. Makes the $150 saving much more attractive over Zune 80GB.

Where can you still get a new one for this price?
I purchased several off the $85 Woot, discovered that I still need one more the Xmas. Love the player with the new software. Old ipod user. Never going back. The subscription is briliant.

Toysrus were having the brown one for 79.99 today but they're probably all gone now. Buy.com had it for 99.99 but price is back up to 119.99 now. Amazon had 1 brown left for 89.99 but I'm guessing that's gone too.

#1 and #3, The only ones you can get new for around $90 are BROWN. Hopefully you two can understand that there is less of a demand for the brown models, forcing them to lower the price on them. I checked the product history and what you said #1 was completely false! Regardless, I got this refurb from woot(with a 1-year warranty!) and I LOVE IT. For $90 I really couldn't go wrong.

Nice enough player, however, mine came with a dead USB cable. Other people have had the same problem. So if you get one and it won't play with your computer you may have to get a new USB cable like I did. Anyone have a favorite program for converting DVR-MS to 320x240 WMV?

Too much Turkey drippings? You are saying the same things everyone has already said.

We all know why Brown is cheaper.

prices on these things are harder to predict and more volatile than the stock market... Glad I got my black refurb a month ago - waiting would give me a heart attack Wink

there are many devices that are better than the ipod. Same with MAC iphone etc. Its the apple branding and marketing that sucks people in. This device is actually very good - look past the brainwashing and branding. Throw in the great price - and - its a real deal.

God! I love my Zune! I really appreciate how Microsoft has allowed the firmware update to apply not just to the new Zunes but the old ones as well, it really shows Microsoft looking out for the loyal customers. Smile btw Woot was selling them for $85 and might do it again since they seem to offer it often.
