Bought this same deal from Newegg a few weeks ago: shipped fast but wasn't new. The screen came with finger smudges. Buyer beware of Newegg. Especially after thier attempt to sell cardboard i7 processors.

Listen D-bag, I would buy from Newegg b4 almost any other company, not because they are the cheapest (which they aren't always) but because their customer service is one of the best if not the best around. I am guessing you have very little experience buying online to make a dumbass statement like that. Also I bet if you were really that unhappy with the fingerprints on your Zune they would have let you return it.

Oh and I have this zune and it rocks, but I paid $200 about 2 monthes ago.

agreed about newegg customer support. when I built my last computer, the mobo blew out after only a week. I suspected the crappy power supply that came with the case. The newegg RMA process was incredibly easy. I had the new part 2 days later, and I just dropped the broken mobo into the postage-paid return box. For a problem that was most likely my fault they still went above and beyond. for this reason alone I would choose newegg over any online competitor.

and as far as I know, newegg was not knowingly selling the fake processors, and when they found out they shipped replacements and stopped doing business with that supplier; what more could you ask for?

does the zune let you record off the radio? sometimes I hear a new song and have no way of identifying it...the FM record feature would be useful for that.

I've done business with newegg for years without any problems. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. #1 I'm sure if you contacted them they would replace your item for you. But you are right to be upset about getting a used item from a vendor, sadly many of them do it. I bought a TV from worst buy a couple years ago and opened the box to find out it was used. Took it back. They didn't care at all. Haven't done much business with them since.

Another bump for newegg. I've only had good experience with them, and their shipping is lightning fast.

Yeah Newegg is ultra trustworthy, I think the cardboard proc folks are competitors or something. As for Zune, I prefer cheap and cheerful generic or Sandisk type MP3 players to pricey DRM jobs. I mean for $180 you can get a lot more electronic coolness than this I think. And radio is FM only like all these.

If you guys plan to buy the zune for the apps, then i would consider waiting for the HD2 or a windows phone. The Zune HD is running XNA studios 3.1, and HD2/WP7S is running 0

Something to think about. I have a 32gb, and it's still a good player to me. Just.. a little too expensive to me now that the app support isn't that great. That's what we get for being an early adopter.
