The missing specification is light output: lumens. If this is like those palm-size projectors (also about $100), it's suitable for the inside of a whale at midnight, and only after your eyes have fully adapted.

Found it on Amazon. 13 lumens. For reference, the projectors we use at work at 3,000 lumens. Not sure what 13 lumens gives you (maybe useful for kids?). Its just an palmtop projector in a big ugly case.
13 lumens, it is exactly like a 3 AAA battery LED flash light.
^ Most of the $2, 3 x AAA flashlights are closer to 20 lumens.
