Agree with #1. My Techsunny product info and CD state "Legal IVT
software"<=Bluesoleil> NOT Broadcom/Widcom software. Techsunny removed my earlier review with this BT driver info.

How's the range on these compared to an internal bluetooth card (notebook) with the antenna along the monitor?

I just got one of these for $4.49 from HDE. They ship from Pennsylvania and not from Hong Kong like most other sellers. I got it from their site http://www.google.com/Bluetooth-USB-2.0-Micro-Adapter-Dongle/M/B001EBE1LI.htm

does it matter where you get your item? Those Pennsylvanian get it from HK anyways.... Who do you think made these adapters? Rebellious low paid Amish children?

#10, no i dont think it matters where the item is manufactured, but where your seller is located certainly determines the shipping time you should expect.

having to use the old versions if Bluesoleil sux, have to pay to upgrade. Bluesoleil keeps crashing and rarely finds my phone. (SE W810). I can attest to it as I own one.

    Get what #1 posted instead.

Get the cheap one, but these things are good. I use it under Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux, works fine. Range is comparable/slightly better than internal ones I have used. None of them have great range IMO.

I have one of the deal extreme ones, and on xp on my netbook, it will not stay tethered to my phone for more than 45 seconds. I've tried it with 3 different phones. The first time I tethered it worked for about 10 minutes, but since then, 45 minutes and that's it with any cell phone. The light doesn't go out on the dongle or anything. You see the bluetooth session end on the phone, but not on the pc for about 1 min after it drops. I'm going to just buy something a little higher end.
