Tempting....what do you goobers think? I already own a Revue, Roku, HTPC...this looks like it would be fun to tinker with. Anyone have it yet?

The reviews on the egg are pretty informative.

Goobers would tell you to look at NewEggs reviews.
Some good info there, and some painful reviews too

I think I'll pass on this based on:
#1 I already have HTPC with tons of content
#2 I have tablets with Angry Birds
#3 PS3/Xbox 360 have my entertainment when I need that
#4 It gives same functionality as my phone - minus the phone capability
#5 A review said this needs "line of site" for the remote to work. With all of the cables (usb, power, hdmi) connected to this, it would look messy

Unless this could be totally wiped out and Linux put on it (where I could make this a low powered server - connecting a powered usb hub and a bunch of hdd's) I dont see much "fun" in this

#4, you can accomplish your #5 item with an old pogoplug seen for ~$20 recently. I got one running Arch linux with an old 500GB laptop drive. I wanted a cheap self-hosted dropbox-like solution. I started with Sparkleshare but it's still not ready so I rolled my own with Unison over SSH. One thing is that there is no external display for the pogoplug but I do 99.9% of my Linux server stuff at the CLI.

Thank for the info - I got an Apple TV 1 running Ubuntu 12.04,160 gb internal and three 3Tb usb off of a powered hub. I got this sitting on top shelf of closet and ssh into it as needed. I can connect it up to TV if I need to go into single user mode, I add a wireless palm style keyboard when needed

      Can I play Pong?

I was recently on a flight. The entertainment center had tons of classic games, but it was the first time I saw Pong since I was a kid.

      Shmeagle - google
      MAME
      Stella

MAME is an emulator to play every arcade game except very recent ones
      Stella is Atari 2600 emulator
*you need to find ROMS for both emulators

I doubt if this device will let you play it - maybe it can????

Own one with fly mouse from last year. Works pretty good. Gets really heated after a while but found no problem. Basically if you have a smart phone with HDMI function then you dont need one of these. Works the same.
