what is so special about this camera?
looks like a leica ripoff
This is one of those mini cameras that fits in the palm of your hand. No optical zoom. Nothing but a conversation piece. Total ripoff. I wouldn't give $20 for it.
these are collectibles. minox has been making these for many years. they also make mini rollei cameras and made nikons in the past. the miniatures are officially licensed. many of the people who buy them have the full sized versions of the cameras. some time in the mid-late 90's leica bought minox after out bidding rollei for the company. last i heard they still own about half of the company.

Sad to see the Minox name on this POS. Back in the day, the Minox was a kick-ass niche camera, a mechanical jewel. (I'm thinking the B & C, not the 35mm cameras, which were OK)
