Says MITAC not MIO for the brand. Is MIO changing names?
Mio Technology Ltd., a subsidiary of Mitac Int'l Corp., is a Taiwanese electronics maker that manufactures and markets Pocket PCs, Personal Digital ...
Mio dumped their long time relationship with igo and merged with navman in January 2008 for their NAV software . A BIG mistake. the navman software is clunky, overly simplified, feature poor, and worst of all, slow in routing and touch responses. The Moov series is the first series based on this new software. Mio had a great product in the Cx20 (c320, c520, etc) series but after that great momentum, has shot themselves in the foot.
Otherwise, the Moov 300 series seem to use the same OS and hardware as the Cx20 series, just in a newer looking case and with crappy navigation software.
No TMC
Sorry to hear that. The c230 is a decent inexpensive unit. I was hoping the Moov would be an improvement.
Thanks for the info
Mov that piece of baconnaise, and make room for the C320!!!
interesting...
