I do not have this particular coffee table (and since it's likely particle board for the lifted part would not buy it), But the style of table is excellent for dinning in the living room, or as I most use it for, laptop convenience.
I have two nice hardwood ones that I bought years (around 20) for the informal dining capabilities. Little did I know that I wouldn't part years later with them for their laptop convenience.
But I wouldn't buy particle board equivalents as they certainly would not last long with use. The screws would quickly strip out of the particle board and render the coffee table useless.
It says it is constructed of wood composite with veneer which is a bit different than particle board. There are actually quite high quality veneered wood composites being made for use in areas like kitchen cabinets and the like, although I have no idea the quality here.
If the screws strip out that's an easy repair. Mix some saw dust with a little bit of wood glue, build up the hole and let it dry. If saw dust isn't convenient you can use pencil sharpener shavings but try to get only the wood, not much of the graphite.
Sometimes I line the hole (not completely filling it) with just glue and let it dry before initial assembly of a kit.
I'd try to avoid veneer and composite construction for a kitchen, at the very least near a sink or stove as they don't hold up as well around steam.
I would avoid anything not "hard wood" with this type intended usage. Once your elbows go down, the particle board or "composite" will likely fail. JMHO.
