    wow, i dont know anything about DLP hdtvs; but that seems like an excellent price.

    Well many DLPs beat out LCDs and even some LEDs regarding the dark levels that create a better "Theater" picture. But its all on preference...
    The LEDs are known to be almost too bright and the black colors have a white tint to them because of the backlight.
    I cant see a difference in picture quality from my DLP to a LED. LED is just brighter.

    these aren't even that thick anymore. 15.1 inches.

    there was a mitsubishi line that had an LED bulb. that solves the only major drawback to these IMO.

    These will probably drop more as 3D displays begin to flood the marketplace. These use a different method than what the industry is pushing but Mitsubishi is making a converter box for these and Samsung DLP's to make them compatible with 3D Blu ray and DirecTV's upcoming 3D channels.

    I love my 65C9. Just waiting for 3D now. Better deal here but a lot more negative thread.

    Mits never had a LED DLP. Only Samsung. I'm glad I bought one, no lamps to replace and awesome PQ.

    yeah, absolutely love my 55" samsung- only 10" deep... had it for 2 yrs now and couldn't be happier...
