I love my DLP for XBOX 360 gaming. It seems smoother when playing games cause they have a faster refresh rate than LCD or LED. When I moved to DLP from a LED my score in first person shooters went up a third. Great price.
I always have a replacement bulb on hand They only run for $99 and after 5 years of having it I only replaced the bulb once and it took 2 minutes. My friend just bought this, hes gonna be heaven when playing COD on this.
The only reason DLPs are dead is because of lazy consumers who freak out at the thought of replacing something. Thats the real reason its dead...
The biggest ripoff on PC LCD monitors is the 2D refresh rate. Even if a 3D LCD will do 120Hz chances are when running at 2D it is still stuck at 60-75Hz.
All the capacitors died in my Mitsu and with the bulbs, power sucking, slow start up, etc., etc., never again! Except in a front projector! I couldn't even get parts if I wanted to fix it! It is cheap and if tossing it in a few years after a couple $150 bulbs then go for it! Mitsu is a has-been in HDTV's.

But you should still be able to get service on them for the next few years, after that it may be harder and harder to get replacement bulbs...
