WARNING! If you order from TheTechGeek, you'll be sorry. It's a 50/50 proposition that you'll receive a toasted english muffin instead of what you order. Then their customer service retards will ignore you. Before you place ANY order with a company, call their customer service line. If you can't reach anyone, chances are you're gonna have problems.
Avoid these guys like the plague.
I concur! I too got an english muffin for the verbatim divx karoke player I ordered. and i swear if there was ever a de, dee, de customer service, it would be them.
so piss off.....
What is the verbatim divx dvd player? The bizrate and retailerrating.com rating for ttg is not bad. chitragupta posting bad reviews for every single post in bensbargains. Ben, please stop those people ruining your site!
TTG sells low-priced generic DVD media that has worked well for me. They sell lower end items and closeouts. If you don't expect high-end merchandise, you're less likely to be disappointed.
I will definitely take risk shopping for a good deal, at the end i can still return it if it's not what i want. i shop with them twice before, both shipped right on time. what the heck? Their prices are so cheap to attract so many cheap people, no wonder i see people bugging on them in Bens posts.
cheap doesn't mean bad, I still expect good stuff at bargain price. I am not disappointed with all my orders from ttg.
You guys are right about their products, they're pretty cheap/ok. I've actually boughts some DVDR from them with no prob. but as soon as you run into any issue with their products, you guys better watch out. They would try to avoid you like the fat girl with STD……. Also, if it wasn't for our negative comments, you bastard would've run out of money! So don't hate, appreciate. B*I*A*T*C*H
Here is my $0.02 on TTG
<rant> the tech geeks suck! Placed an order, never heard from them again, could not call them, they never answered phone, their voicemail was full, they never answered emails. I tracked them down by searching their street address on Google, turns out they are a business called STI Certified Products, Inc. You can reach them by calling 510 226 9074, which was the only way I could track them down. Got them to cancel my order and credit my credit card. Be warned! </rant>
WARNING- the date is July 31st, 2007 and thetechgeek.com has been down for days. This is a problem I haven't seen with *any* professional company in years, much less a tech related one. I'd concur with all the complaints about cheap products and non-existent customer support. Avoid this company.
