Amazon has the MJSI HYR270 HydroRight Drop-in Dual Flush Converter for $18 with free shipping on orders $25 or more. Otherwise shipping is $6. Converts your toilet into a water-saving two-button version with a quick flush for liquids and paper. Approximate savings of 15,000 gallons per year for a family of four. Easy installation, but will not fit all toilets, read product description for details.
You can buy it locally for the same price. And if it's too high for your tank like mine was, it's a lot easier to return.
right, got it from your local store, it's not a deal as well
I consider it a deal when I can have something delivered to my door instead of spending time, gas and car wear buying locally at the same price, though if the manufacturer's specs for the amount of clearance needed aren't accurate then I could see the need to return it:
AND...
"The hydroright replaces only standard size flappers, the flush opening from tank to bowl should be 2-Inch to 2-1/2-Inch in diameter(this is the hole the flapper covers: some newer toilets have 3-Inch flush opening, hydroright does not work in 3-Inch flush or larger toilets).
If the hydroright is installed in a toilet with an old ballcarrot, the arm of the ballcarrot may hit the hydroright and not work properly. In some cases, the hydroright can be turned to compensate. In other cases, purchasing a hydroclean or other pilot style fill valve may be required."
I've seen this for as low as 15 bucks at Amazon, with FS, a couple of months ago. Missed buying it then. I think I'll wait.
Recently installed one, worked great. Solved my running toilet issue as well.
i had to return this for poor instructions and poor customer service
