This thing is way overpriced for what it can possible do. Go get an RCA indoor antenna, amplified instead. They have them on Amazon.
In my environment, amplified ones made things worse. Have better reception with old rabbit ear/loop combo with the vhf rabbit ear cut off at the base -- only get uhf.
Amplified is best for preventing excessive losses and decreasing addt'l noise pickup (ratio) on long cable runs between the antenna and the tuner/device, otherwise you still have the same SNR.
I don't find amplified to be a problem; although, they do introduce some noise, but I don't see it. My experience is they pull in some stations more clearly than without the amp in my area. My antenna is connected with only about three feet of cable.

I bought the amplified one and it works great for me. I used to have weak reception for Channel 7 and 11 and with this Mohu Plus, I get clear reception. I live in Riverside county. It receives better signal than the flat RCA antenna I had. This deal does not offer Free Shipping. Last deal was better.
I bought this from Amazon 2 weeks ago and it works great. I've got it hidden behind a picture so it isn't as noticeable and unsightly as rabbit ears.
