Monster Cable sucks. They're known for suing any company that has the word "monster" in their name including Monster Energy Drink, Monster Garage, costume shops, and even a little place called Monster Mini-Golf. They seem to think that since they own a trademark on Monster Cables that it means they own the word monster. I don't wanna teach you trademark law but you only own the term *in the field that your product is in*. So you can produce clothes under the name Intel(hypothetically) and not be violating their trademark.
On top of that, you seriously can't hear the difference between using their cables and wire coat hangers soldered together to make speaker wires. Google it.
I heard about that too.
Funny tho, I just realized why don't they own monster.com or at least be fighting for it?
The case against the mini-golf was recently lifted, and Monster agreed to pay the mini-golf's layer fees. Maybe they stopped to think ... gee, this is a little silly.
Anywho, $10; deal or no deal?
Just ordered 8 for a grand total of $16.91 shipped...now let's see if they actually ship. This item has a retail value (yeah right) of $79.99.
Also, 4m = around 13ft, not 12.
would this be good for laying?
Just ordered 8 as well to offset the cost of shipping. Came out to $16.91 just like #4. Not sure what I'm gonna do with that many DVI cables but oh well, what's $17 these days worth anyway
Clarification - Monster cables don't suck, they are fine. The problem with Monster is they are GROSSLY OVERPRICED. I get all my cables from monoprice they have top quality at best prices.
For 8 of these at aroun $17 dollars its a good buy. At the normal price of $75 dollars go to monoprice, buy a better cable for 90% less, then take the rest of the money and throw it out the window. It would be the same as buying this at $75.
FYI, these are "DVI-D SINGLE Link Cable"
