Can one use it with a headset as the transmitter to a speech amplifier?
What's worse than a douchebag walking down the street talking on his cell on speakerphone 2 inches from his face?
A douchebag doing it with one of these.

#2 You perhaps missed the point of this device. I happen to own the Eq5- payed $90 for it when it was first released, and it serves as an outstanding portable, not to mention rechargeable bluetooth speaker (A2DP) The Battery life on this thing is phenomenal not to mention the sound is accurate and enuff to fill a small room. Of course I don't use this as my bluetooth headset- but hey, if your at the beach listening to tunes on the Eq5 its a nice feature to be able to take a call then immediately go back to streaming a2dp. This speaker has worked flawlessly with my HTC Touch, Touch pro, and most recently, My Touch Pro 2. This is a phenomenal deal for a quality product. My only complaint is- that unlike the S9-HD bluetooth headset that uses a standard mini-usb jack- this uses a special plug. I can charge my s9-hd from my car outlet- but this on the other hand i can only charge via outlet at home. I recommend this for to anyone one looking for a solid stereo speaker that fits easily into your cargo pocket.
