does anyone make a bluetooth with a regular on/off switch? not the kind that you have to hold down the power button for 5 seconds?

This one uses the boom to flip in and out that turns the unit on and off.

The H710 is a step up from this model and only costs a few bucks more. If you want a quality Bluetooth, I've been very happy with the H700/H710 as they rarely make accidental calls like other headsets - even if they are a bit ugly.

#2, the boom turns it "on" and "off" but I think you still have to turn it "on" to have the boom work. In other words, the boom is more like an "active" "not active" switch, rather than a true "on" "off." I don't know why they do that.

I have another Motorola head set that has a sliding on-off switch. I tried on of these, and it was a pain having to flip the boom in and out, to save battery life.

Had one of these. Worked good for about 3 months.
